What’s in store for you:

Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche
The Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche (Church of the Holy Cross) was built between 1927 and 1929 according to the plans of architect Josef Franke. For 80 years it provided space for almost 1000 churchgoers. After the church was decommissioned in 2007, the city decided to purchase the building and convert it into a highly prestigious event venue. The hall, which holds about 800 visitors, has become a venue for concerts, comedy and cabaret, as well as receptions, congresses and events of all kinds. Almost 100 years after its construction, the listed building, which is exemplary of brick expressionism in the Ruhr region, has once again become a meeting place in the neighborhood for people from near and far.
